Mermaids

Mermaids are aquatic creatures with the upper body of a human and lower half of a fish. They are born in the ocean and usually don't ever come on land. When they do they shift into a form of themselves with legs. Anytime fully submerged in water their tail reforms.

Powers
Control water. Crykenisis.
Shift into a form with human legs.
Breath underwater.
They heal quickly and can heal others with their touch.
Communicate with other aquatic animals.

Weaknesses
Fire is deadly. Heat is also harmful.
Humans, with legs of course, unknowingly attract mermaids much more than you'd think. The fascination is borne to mermaids and they sometimes go to extreme measures to please human, especially the opposite gender.
